Services

I honor the light, love, truth, beauty and peace within you, because it is also within me. In sharing these things we are united, we are the same, we are one.

Before partaking in any new exercise journey, please check in with your doctor to ensure yoga is a good fit for you. Make sure you nourish yourself properly before and after class, and always have water with you during class. Some yoga practices need to be done on an empty stomach, this is not necessarily true for these classes. However, you may choose to eat foods which promote good feelings and create comfort before stretching and exercising. Wear clothing you are comfortable moving in and feel good on your skin.

The following props are not necessary, but can be helpful for your practice:

  • Yoga Mat
  • Yoga Blocks (2-4)
  • Blanket (one made of stiffer material like a Yoga Blanket is optimal)
  • Adjustable strap
I have linked some products you may enjoy on my Resources page.

You may also use props from things you have in your house, such as books, belts, pillows and blankets. That’s okay too. The focus of your practice is you! Props will just help you to reap more benefits in a pose, no matter where you are on your yoga journey.

About My Classes:

Embodied Somatic practices are a unique and transformative modalities for healing and remembrance. So many of us have forgotten our Divine nature and have dis-connected from our bodies. Through yoga, breathwork, gentle guided and spontaneous movement, you are steered back to inhabit, be-friend and heal the relationship you have with your body.

I offer a safe environment of compassionate healing and support. I use trauma-informed language and coaching along with positive affirmations and guided and spontaneous movement. I am here to serve as a mirror for you to see the parts of yourself that have been forgotten and the path back to remembering your true nature.

This might be for you if you are struggling with...
  • You don’t recognize yourself or your body anymore these days.
  • You often use the phrase “when I…” then I’ll be happy”
  • You hear negative self-talk in your mind when you look in the mirror, are on social media or while watching TV or movies.
  • You grew up in an environment where your self-worth was tied to your body image.
  • You want to feel more confident and safe in your own skin.
  • You have tried to make peace with your body through diet and exercise but you haven’t seen lasting change.
  • You long to feel more sensual and vibrant but instead you feel disconnected and shameful.
  • You want to have a better body image, but you just don’t know how to get there.

Let me help you…

  • Realize how to show up more confident, authentic and happy-radiating your passion, purpose and zest for life.
  • Connect to the sacred and wild woman within you, finding your flow and embracing your inner beauty.
  • Recognize the multi-billion dollar systems of capitalism and colonization that have helped you to dis-connect from your power and that want to keep you looking outside yourself to cosmetics, fad diets and fitness programs that will never fulfill you.
  • Stop the comparison trap, by pushing against society’s unhealthy norms, and feel empowered to just be yourself.
  • Uncover a true and lasting love affair with your body which only gets better and better with time.

As a natural healing facilitator, I recommend my programs as a compliment to regularly working with a licensed therapist, doctor or other professional or holistic modality to create a more Wholistic approach to healing.

The Self-Love Club

I created this club as a safe and sacred place to allow our relationships with our bodies to grow. I have learned through my group coaching and yoga programs that the best way for women to learn about themselves is through engaging with each other. Hearing and sharing stories, struggles, ideas, and encouragement with other women opens us up, gives us new perspectives, and reminds us that we’re not alone. The community keeps us coming back to the place where compassion lives in each of us. We all need a place to belong and connect. Our ancestors held many sacred ceremonies sitting in a circle and sharing. The impact of this practice and the wisdom it provides is immeasurable. I have created this online container as a place to offer support for healing, and friendship flourish.

By enrolling in any of my virtual, in-person or digital programs you will received FREE access to Self-Love Club for the duration of your session or program.

How do I know if I’m doing it right?
If you’re practicing yoga at home you might wonder if you’re doing the poses properly at first. It’s good to bear in mind that everyone’s body is different and there is not one right way to do a pose.

I will offer several variations to help you find the one that is right for you. It’s always a good idea, if you feel comfortable to talk to me about any situation that concerns you in your practice. The main thing to know is that yoga is not meant to hurt – that goes for whether you’re at practicing yoga at home or in person. You will probably experience different sensations than you’re used to, and you may feel your muscles working, but if you feel any type of “warning” or stabbing pain, listen and honor your body by coming out of the pose. You are always invited to take rest, when wanted or needed, at any time, in any class.

Can I do yoga when I am menstruating?

Some women prefer to pause their yoga practice when they have their period while others keep going. Many teachers advise not to do inversions such as Headstand, Handstand, Shoulderstand where the head is lower than the heart as they feel they interrupt the downward flow. Strong yoga twists may also be uncomfortable for some women.

I encourage you to take time during your cycle to tune into what your womb space is craving. Our cycle is a time to slow down and pay attention to whether you feel energized or restorative on the day of class and act in accordance with your own body. You are given full permission to embrace this sacred time of cycle and will never be shamed for the way in which you your honor your body, even if that means missing class.

I have a health condition. Can I still do yoga?

Many people practice yoga as a way to manage their health conditions. There are many different types of classes which suit different health needs and can also be adapted and modified for injuries. However, if you have a medical condition or injury and haven’t practiced yoga before, we recommend that you speak to an experienced yoga teacher (or physical therapist with knowledge of yoga) to get advice about any poses or movements you need to avoid.

Can I do yoga while I am pregnant?
If you are pregnant, check with your doctor or health professional before starting yoga.

If you’ve never done yoga before, it’s generally recommended not to to start during the first three months of pregnancy, since your body isn’t used to it. However, if you’re a regular practitioner, you can continue. But there are some poses to avoid, including twists and strong core work.

You also need to be aware that during pregnancy and breast feeding the body produces hormones (relaxin) which will make you more flexible, especially in the hips and pelvis. Therefore you will need to work more on maintaining stability in the joints so that you don’t overstretch them.
